A cool season clump forming sedge for water and rain gardens and erosion control.  May be grown in gardens and rock gardens as it is very tolerant of shallow soil, but must be watered and may not be as vigorous. Flowers from May to June, and flowers disappear by July.  Leaves turn golden yellow immediately after first frost.
