Munstead is an even more compact English Lavender than Hidcote, with flowers that a lighter lavender blue.  Flowering begins in mid-summer and continues into late summer.  Extremely drought tolerant, they prefer well drained soils.  Use flowers fresh or dried.  Excellent in containers, rock gardens, mass plantings, and rooftop gardens.
