A front of the border or groundcover plant that is rhizomatous. Basal rosettes of dark green glossy ovate basal leaves. Tiny two-lipped fragrant white and pink bi-colored flowers appear in dense spikes atop mostly leafless flowering stems from June into July.  Deer resistant leaves remain evergreen in its southern range. For use as a groundcover, plant 12-18" apart.
